Odi, there's something in my life I've been holding on to, even though I know it's time to let go. Reading your words today helped me feel closer to making that decision. Thank you for sharing your heart—it means so much. Wishing you peace and courage!
If it helps Mohika, I let go of something too (even though I was paralyzed with fear) and now I have something in its stead that I only just used to dream about.
I think it was Rumi who said that what you are looking for is also looking for you. Let me add that it will not find you if you’re holding on to what no longer serves you.
Of course, it’s terrifying to let go of something or someone not knowing if you will find “better”. But letting go is an act of faith. You just have to trust that life is for you and not against you.
Always remember that you’re not the sidekick in your own story. I’m rooting for you, sis. 🫶🏾
Such an important reminder that often gets sidelined due to fear. Fear of feeling like we failed or did not do justice to our dreams. But quitting is not a bad thing. I love how you put it as 'severing ties with what doesn't serve us anymore'. Thank you for normalising it through your words. We need more people to read your words Odi!✨
“the best time to cut ties might have been three years ago, but the next best time is today.” This is my take home from this wonderful read. I love this!
i spent 20 years becoming an expert in my field in the music industry. but eventually all the success in the field wasn't filling my soul. i clung to it a little too long because I bought a house and had a lot of bills. but letting go of the house, the job, the industry, the city, all of it, made me feel so free and happier than i've ever been
If you love something, you need to let it go. And if it’s for you, it will find your back to you. Knowing when to severe ties is the mark of an enlightened being. No tree ever grew tall without shedding a few leaves.

I love the way you put this. Knowing when to severe ties is soooo important.
Thank you for engaging, Harun.
Learning when to give up on something, even if you care about it, is important for growing and being happy. A great read Odinakachi.
I love how you summarized it.
Thanks for engaging, Tinashe. 🙌🏾
How do we discover the new when the old is still occupying a space? Yeah, endings are sad but release it.
Thank you Odii for always putting out thoughtful writeups.
Aptly put!
Thank you so much for always engaging, Nene.
And specific to futile projects, throw in futile people!
Yesssssss!📌📌
